The series of works titled Ikimetsä consists of ceramic storage jars featuring animal motifs. The animals depicted on the jars are familiar creatures from the forests of Finland. The jars are available in three different sizes, each with the same diameter opening, allowing a single lid to fit every three size of those bases. They are glazed with food-safe glazes. The materials used include castable stoneware clay and red clay. The animal family grows each year with the addition of new lids, so everyone can find their favorite jar. The lid serves as a guardian of the jar's contents.
