Pohjola kukkii can be loosely translated as "The North blooms." The flowers are glass flowers created in collaboration with the legendary glassblowers of the Iittala glass factory. This collaboration is part of the Pro Vitrea project, which was awarded to me in 2023.

The Pro Vitrea Prize, given every two years, is awarded for high quality and distinctive workmanship or for a significant deed to promote Finnish glass culture. The purpose of the Pro Vitrea award is to support and highlight those who work with glass and to increase the appreciation of Finnish glass expertise. The prize is awarded by the Friends of the Finnish Glass Museum together with the Finnish Glass Museum.

The glass flowers created in the project will be on display at the Finnish Glass Museum from October 5 to December 31, 2024, in the exhibition of the same name, Pohjola kukkii.
